Shared Experience

Having just returned from a long weekend away on the coast of Cornwall to the Funky Raw Festival, I feel that I should submit the concept of a 'shared experience', which I've wanted to express through all the events I have so far been involved with, with reference to one of my favourite authors, Napoleon Hill.

In any venture, an absolute key element is that of a mastermind reference group - a number of like-minded individuals working towards the same goals within a shared environment and with skills and ideas that contribute to the greater good - the success of the venture. This works within all manner of projects and formal/informal and/or paid/unpaid situations. Any company a cut above the rest will have a quality of staff that have always contributed, more than likely especially at the start - it is the same with any undertaking...

This is why I felt so strongly over the weekend that the people I came into contact with are at the threshold of a new way of life and way of thinking. We are all pioneers gently hacking away at current beliefs about diet and ethical/healthy eating. Some of us have different ideas about how hard to hack and at what angle and also how we come across to others to identify ourselves (to be a hippy or not to be a hippy) but we are all part of something that we will look back at in 10 years and say - 'those were the days when this raw food thing wasn't so mainstream. Now everyone's doing it!'

Yet making it a shared experience and getting involved on a social level will allow the success in mass health to improve, even if it takes small steps...

When we communicate our ideas to one another we plant seeds and when we work in numbers to spread these ideas we will get to the point where we influence those with sway that can begin to effect changes - for e.g. those very companies that have done so well utilizing a workforce to become an influence on everyday life.

Taking a shared approach to anything not only triples chances of success, but the dynamics of enjoyment in terms of meeting new people who may or may not be undergoing a raw journey but nonetheless express interest. And who knows - you may meet your next best friend. I certainly did!
