Conflicting Health Advice

It appears these days that the more you look into improving your diet with the power of healthy foods, the more conflicting advice you seem to find out there! This can be confusing and unsettling, especially during the beginning stage before you’ve found your feet, and realised what exactly works for you.

A variety of advice and opinions/beliefs can really confound each other....

  • Vegan only?
  • Is Vegetarian enough
  • What about 100% raw?
  • What about a cooked food proportion?
  • Of the Earth foods only?

Even a 100% raw food diet branches out into many ideas:

  • Low fat
  • High fruit
  • No fruit
  • High greens
  • No greens
  • Low protein
  • Ration of carbs: protein: fat
  • Mono eating (just one food at a time, throughout a meal)
  • Juice
  • No juice
  • And so on, and so on…

The points mentioned here are just some of the snippets of advice that surrounds eating a more, or entirely raw food diet, given by some raw food advocates – not mentioning any names… People get confused and find that they try to listen to every piece of raw food advice ever written! Well, if you ever only take one piece of raw food advice ever again – make sure it’s this one….

We are all unique individuals that are beautiful, and like no other. Therefore, due to our individual, natural differences, both inside and out, we have varying levels of nutritional needs. What’s good and works for one person, may not work quite as well for the next. Remember to bear this in mind when you’re next reading the material from the latest raw food advocate – no matter who it may be! Take the information in, digest it, and see how it feels for you personally.
