The Raw Lifestyle Coach

Hi, I’m Jessica Fenton and I’m the UK’s first Raw Lifestyle Coach. I’ve been on a high raw (when not 100% raw) diet for over 7 years now, and am so impressed at what‘s achievable when one eats in this way. I originally began my ’raw journey’ entirely by accident! I just naturally started gravitating towards fresh, organic, raw foods. What I didn’t know at this time was that when your body’s unwell, or depleted of essential vitamins and / or minerals you can feel yourself being heavily drawn to this way of eating.

My Former ‘Cooked’ Health…

As a teenager, I suffered from Glandular Fever, which then progressed a few years later, into ME (Chronic Fatigue) and a Candida Imbalance. All of this took its toll on my body in a variety of different ways. My skin had times of being far from great, and my weight fluctuated, on occasions hitting unhealthily low levels. Within a very short time of eating a high raw diet, my ME seemed to practically vanish, my weight stabilised and I started feeling great! Six years on and I haven’t looked back. Becoming ‘Raw’ was the best gift that I could have ever received.

I openly and honestly admit that I made mistakes along the way, as regards to my own raw diet - especially in the early days. I strongly feel that we learn from our mistakes, and that they shape us into who we are today. I now use my mistakes, to ensure my clients don’t fall at the same hurdles. It can be surprising how easy it is to get a bit ’stuck;’ and that’s where I come in as my role of The Raw Lifestyle Coach.

Live life naturally!

I strongly believe that we should aim to view our mind, body and soul in a holistic way (as a whole.) With this approach, we avoid just treating an individual symptom and take steps to treat our entire body instead. When we operate in this way, if we are ill, we empower our body to heal itself in a natural manner, without the necessary intervention of pharmaceutical drugs. If our bodies become imbalanced in any way, we learn how to treat the deficiency, instead of focusing on a particular side-effect that may have made itself known. When we eat a diet high in raw enzymes, our chances of getting ill dramatically decreases. Imbalances within the body can begin to naturally re-balance, and our minds become clear. Welcome to the exciting world of raw nutrition!

The Raw Lifestyle

If we are treating our bodies in a holistic way and feeding our cells with the highest quality nutrients, then we should be equally as careful with what we are applying to our skin and using around our homes. Once we begin to detox our bodies, it’s natural to feel the need to detox our lives too. Since 75% of what we put on our skin gets directly absorbed into our body, it’s a good enough reason to be extra careful about our personal environment. What’s the point in learning about and experimenting with a natural raw food diet and spending our time and money developing this investment, if we’re covering ourselves in toxic, harmful chemicals at the same time as sprouting our grains? After I went raw, I began reading beauty product labels especially. I was mortified when I learnt that proven cancer causing carcinogens were allowed to be present in our daily products - without even the slightest hint of warning. As I researched further, I began to reveal that products we all know and trust to be safe, are far from that. Baby products are just one example of this. As a general rule of thumb, if you can’t eat it without needing emergency medical intervention, then should you really be smearing it all over your body, or spraying it throughout your house?

Help Yourself

Coaching others to improve our current state of health is my biggest passion. It's something that I feel very drawn to. Why should you be sick, when you can be in the best shape and state of your life? Why choose to struggle when you can thrive? Why choose to merely exist when you can love life to the max?
